Happy 4th of July....on the 6th of July. I'm celebrating as long as I can. Long, hot summer nights with the distant sound of illegal fireworks, lots of family and lots of food is what really makes July an awesome month for me. This year we went home to Springville to celebrate the 4th. It was quite fun. Well the end part anyway. Rocky, Sara, Jamie, Peggy, Mom and I spent a good portion of the day packing up more of our stuff as we prepare for the big move. I am happy to say that the majority of it is done. Yippee.
Then it was time for games. We had such a good time. We played Pit, Rat-a-tat-cat, Sardines and Slappsies and crawlsies. We also did the ultimate in fireworks...snaps and sparklers. Yes, we went all out. When you live in the NO FIREWORKS zone you are pretty limited. I think we were still in breach of the No fireworks code...luckily nothing or no one caught on fire. Below is a slide show documenting some of our fun. Oh and Rocky and I finally tried our wedding cake...two and a half years after our wedding. It wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't good. Yes we know that it is supposed to be a one year anniversary thing but it was buried in the freezer and well we forgot. Better late then never. :)

my wedding cake was so good, it made it about a month and half and I had to eat it, I finally got the recipe from the lady and now make it all the time just so I can eat it!
I wish we could have been there. The boys would have loved it. I am so impressed with the sardine locations. Did Dad get in on that action? I am so excited to here that there is more packing going on. We can't wait for you guys to get out here.
I love all the goofy pictures!
