Hibernation

So for the past...lets say 4 months I have been in hibernation. Well my version of hibernation. It has been cold here in Ohio and I did not deal with it this winter. I mainly stayed inside and did much of nothing....oh except I ate. This weekend has been absolutely amazing. 80+ degree weather. It was time for me to wake up. This is what I found when I woke up....yucky, sick winter hibernation weight. Egh. I tried on my summer clothes...the ones that fit last year and (snif, snif) they don't any more. Well wait...does it count if they totally stay on because they are skin tight but top button wasn't done up and I still had a muffin top?

Today Rocky and I were talking about hibernation and he pointed out that when most animals go into hibernation they don't eat....and infact they usually wake up skinnier. Thanks Rocky.....

So yeah, I got it wrong....pretty obvious when I put the super skinny, muffin top pants on.

Anyone else run into this problem?
Anyone else want to join me on the quest to loose the hibernation weight?

I TOTALLY gained weight this winter. In a few weeks I'll be ready to start slimming down again tho. Good luck!

Well, I am sure you still look great, but I totally hear you on this one. I just got out my spring shorts and capris, especially ones that I bought a couple years ago....and it was a little discouraging to say the least.Gr. Hopefully, the warm weather will get me out running more! :)

So does my prego weight count. I can't put anything on but a pair of sweat pants. It's really depressing. Nice comment by the Rocket. At least his milk isn't coming in while he's at the gym. Heh heh heh.

Ba ha ha! I totally understand. And your description of it made me laugh out loud...alone...I can totally picture Rocky correcting you on the hibernation thing. Our silly know-it-all husbands. ;) Gotta love 'em! But just so you know, you totally don't look like you've gained weight to me. I think you look great.

I'm working on toning up. Of course the prego weight has got to go, but that takes some time. Hooray for warm weather so I have motivation to do something besides sit on my butt. :) Good luck!! I'm here for ya.

Joni you are so freaking hilarious. Reading your post made me laugh but I hear ya. The winter always seems to sneak up on us adding some extra baggage we didn't have before. If you ever want to go running or for a walk around the path just call me. I always like a friend to chat with while shedding some extra calories.

Hope you have a great week!

Phil gets to hear about my muffin top far too much. It's the saddest thing when the cute summery clothes you pull out no longer fit. Oh well, at least I have my elastic waist skirts and wrap around shirts to keep my spirits up. Now that it's nice though, I've got to spend some serious time in "my backyard."

baby weight + hibernation. not a good combination. hey! I rhymed unintentionally!

anyways .. . I feel your pain about not fitting into cute clothes you used to fit into. Luckily for you- you look fabulous! I had no clue you gained weight.
