The forgotten but not forgotten vacation

Vacations are almost non existent in the home of the Wrights.  And especially for Doc Roc.  We he does manage to get one I put him to work.  Really.  We are project people - or I am project person and include my people in my projects.  Specifically I need my Doc Roc in my projects.  Poor Poor Rocky.

Anyway we really lucked out last year - YES last year.  Sometime one forgets that they didn't post a post on something they thought they posted on.

Like our vacations which are few so unfortunately are our visitors.  We just love our people to come see us in the land of the south.  So like I was saying we really lucked out last year when Jason and Dana made the trek out to see us for a few days.  It was awesome!  So So awesome.  They even helped us project.  Does it get any better than that?  Well for me no - but I'm sure that most people don't want to project on their vacations.  Jason and Dana please come see us again...but bring your projecting clothes this time.  You know we will do it even if we think we won't.  Ha!

Anyway we are making it somewhat of a tradition for them to come see us over October conference.

While they were here we visited the Vulcan - revisited and created fears of heights (kids will do that to you right?)
We had the yummiest Mediterranean food. The shish-kabobs were superb.

We had lots of time in the van.  Dana and I devoured a bag of boiled peanuts and I have been craving them ever since.

We had a little beach time.  Really not enough time and we will never make that mistake again.  We stayed in a hotel right on the beach.  It was heavenly.  Jason and Dana's room faced the ocean.  If I had had that room I would probably still be there.  Our room was perfect with our kiddos.  It even had bunk beds for James.  The pools were colder than the ocean water.  The sand was white and the sun was shinning.  We had some great Mexican food while there and someone's kids spilled their drinks all over.  It made the floor super sticky and totally ruined the experience...oh wait those were my kids.

I tried to convince Dana that Bargain Hunt was the best store ever.

We showed Jason and Dana the "What does the fox say" video.  It was an instant hit.  James still thinks the fox says "ring ding ding ding...."

We jumped to new heights at Airwalk.  It is owned by a couple in our ward who have been so good to me and the boys.  Airwalk is one of those places that has trampolines all over.  I think we were all a little sore after that experience.

Dana and I projected and made a super duper Christmas ornament that I forgot to hang on my tree this year.  OOPS.

We enjoyed a little conference.

Rocky sanded and sanded and sprayed and sanded and sprayed.
Dana and I sanded and sanded and sanded and painted.
Jason watched - oh I think he did get a new light bulb when the light burned out.  Oh and he also sang happy birthday to his sister in law and we have on video when he sings one note pitch perfect.  It was so surprising and so funny.  Love ya J.

We were so sad to see them go.  Thanks for coming to visit.
