This past week James has been talking about the first day of Summer. I'm not sure where he heard of it because I haven't mentioned it. Our conversations go something like this. "But mom, I just have to do it because it's the first day of summer." "Please can we do ___ (insert anything fun) because it's the first day of summer." It was super cute and funny the first time he said it. Then it got old...and then it wasn't and hasn't been the first day of summer yet. I'm thinking that when it actually is the first day of summer we will have to do something fun to celebrate.
Well lots has happened since the last time I posted. I don't know what happened and poor Logan, the blog is how I remember his milestones. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to remember 3 months worth. Oh well.
As for the family these were our happenings the past couple of months. In no particular order because Blogspot uploaded them in no particular order - had I had the option it would have been by date.

The boys at Temple Square - how we avoided a fall in any/all of the water features was by the work of many busy Angels - those seen and unseen.
Follow the leader.
James giving James some work direction.
Grammy and James and the hanging of the Tiger in the tree. That was the favorite climbing tree the in backyard.
Spanish Fork Splash pad.
GG and GG Sorenson and GA Sue - Always so much fun to see these three trouble makers. Grandpa is affectionately known as the Grandpa that talks funny.
I ran a Color Run 5k earlier in April with my Alabama Besties. The next few photos are from that event.
Logan was all about throwing anything and everything.
I managed to stay mostly color free until the end of my race when my boys took my color packet and threw it on me and then took another ladies color packet and then threw that on me as well. As a side note. I just realized how unflattering this photo is of myself and I have to say that 1- I just had color stuff thrown in my mouth and 2 - it didn't taste good.
Hillary and I ran together the whole race - it was so nice to have a buddy.
This is what the group does with their color packets. Pretty fun to watch in person.
The whole group.
Our Easter Photo. At least James and Logan managed to do something with their faces instead of pulling off a blank stare.
This is a photo of them dancing. The video is 100 times better.
James - 4 years old
Logan - almost 2
After the Easter egg hunt. James got most of the eggs. Logan didn't as he was too busy eating the candy he found in one of the 7 eggs he managed to find.
We went to Utah to see these to lovelies get hitched. It was beautiful and perfect and well just look at the smile on Stef. Love LOVE LOVE.
I took some photos while we waited for Stef and Sam - don't let those smiles fool you - it was freezing.
Gage and Asher. Gage with his Ostrich. It was his animal of the week. He was killing me with that thing.
More Stef and Sam
Rocky and I - Despite the added wrinkles and the fact that I don't see this man much I can say that I love him more and more each day. Handsome as ever.
Another little bum trying to do some wading in the pool.
I won our wards Chili Cook-off. Can you even believe it? I am still pinching myself. I'm not sure that Rocky even believes it yet. He has had far too many of my NON award winning meals to be able to question the authenticity of the win.
Conference time. I was able to catch the candy bowls in picture form again this year. For some reason it warms my heart and my tummy knowing that the Prophet and Apostles like their candy for conference too. I wonder if they also have bingo sheets.
Underwear/Pants on head races. This also happened during Conference time. It was A LITTLE DISTRACTING.
We fed these birds at the zoo and then they bit our fingers and our clothes. Someone needs to teach these little guys that you don't bite that hand that feeds you.
We checked out the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. It was pretty awesome. I can't believe the bravery of the men that were some of the first to fly to space. Those early spaceships were TINY - like stay in your seat and don't move an inch tiny. WOW.
They had this fun little ride at the Space and Rocket center and I was begging to ride it. I have missed being able to ride the fun rides for a few years because of pregnancy. It almost didn't happen because there were too few people to ride and we didn't weigh enough but you better believe I asked any and everyone that walked by if they would ride with me and we finally got enough people and it was so worth it.
Logan in the little guys space ship at the museum.
A photo of one of the bow ties I made for the wedding. I had a great time crafting and creating.
James helping me pick out some jewelry for the wedding. He was hoping I was going to say yes to all of these pieces for his own collection.
Found this little guy to snuggle with at Hoover Days. It really was love at first sight. He snuggled right up and I was smitten.
Just like Dad.
Sharing a seat, movie and snacks on the plane ride to Las Vegas. It lasted all of 30 seconds before there was an argument over all of the above.
4 generations. 1-Roland, 2-Dick, 3-Rocky, 4-James, Gage, Asher, Logan. Handsome boys
Sara jamming and Logan rocking.
Hanging out with the cousins. We encouraged them to pick up a Rock they liked in hopes we could get them to look at the camera. Fail - total Fail
Aunt Nat and Logan - selfies
James giving Logan a ride on the slowest electric car ever - but they had a great time playing with it anyway. Best $12 spent.
James could not get enough of this little guy. He even went as far as to sing to him so he would feel happy.
More cousin time with Gage. We couldn't get Gage to put his drink down for the photo.
Wagon rides down the hill with Sarby. I also took my first ride down the hill this year. It was awesome and terrified me at the same time.
Sarby and Steve reading James a bed time story.
Bothering Mom cat at grandma C's house.
Helping Grandma C. get to the car.
Photo with the Eagle at the Hogle Zoo. We LOVED the bird show and would recommend it to everyone.
Jamie and I at the beginning of the Art City 5k - it is hard to take a photo while one is running.
After the 5k - ride home in Boppy's truck.
Logan making a friend at the wedding reception of a friend.
Gage and James have more cousin time. This was the bed I made for James at Grandma Roberts house. It worked out perfectly and all the boys wanted it for their own.
Nat, Stef and myself at Asher's pool party.
Visiting my cousin Heather's, In-laws farm. They have the coolest Clydesdales. Such beautiful animals. James, Logan and I wanted to take one home.
James and I had a pretty traumatic experience the day before Stefs wedding. We were showing to get ready for family pictures. I had stepped out of the shower and was drying off. James was going to play for a little bit longer. I started to close the GLASS shower door and it fell off the track and shattered in the air. It was terrifying and there was glass/blood everywhere. It fell on James and then he fell on the glass. I was so so scared to pick him up because I though his bum and legs would be cut up but we were watched out for. I think he was only cut by the glass that initially fell on him. He had two pretty deep cuts on his foot and for the sake of the squeamish I won't post the photo. He had to get 6 stitches in his foot and after two attempts to numb his foot he still felt them stitch it up. Oh man was that the hardest thing to watch this little man go through. My hands got cut up pretty bad but didn't need stitches. They still hurt pretty bad in some spots.
James was told not to put weight on his foot for a couple of days and he followed Dr.'s orders perfectly.
Poor little dude.
Got to spend some time with this Lovely little lady. She is really the best.
Logan's favorite spot in the tree.
Had to eat at the BYU creamery. It was good but the stuff up north is WAY better - Go Aggies
Boppy to the rescue.
Peg left this little picture on my camera so I'm leaving it on my blog.
Checked out the new Museum of Curiosity and lost the kids once every 5 minutes and almost had to call in the squad to get us out of this net bridge. Okay it wasn't that bad....but pretty close.
Almost had to call the squad to get mom out of the McDonalds play land slide. Here Logan is giving her foot words of encouragement to get down. She took it slow and steady and made it out alive.
So there you have it the past 2.5 months in a nutshell. I missed documenting a lot I am sure. There are things I didn't get any pictures of...like our stay with Jason and Dana in their beautiful home. Playing with their dog Leidy and torturing them on our ride to Salt Lake. I also managed to miss a lot of family in pictures. Like getting pedicures with the girls before the wedding - mine is still holding strong. At least I think it is. When you get a pedicure once every 7 years it hard to know what looks good or doesn't. The paint isn't chipped so I think it looks good. We celebrated 5 birthdays (Cyndi, Jacque, Me, Mom and Peggy) and I didn't take any pictures. :(
We went crazy at Costa Vida at least 3 times and I didn't take any pictures - visualize kids running all over, screaming, yelling, laughing, crying, throwing, pushing and this is before we even got our food.
We drove up at down the Wasatch front visiting with friends from all walks of life and I didn't take one picture. :(
Safe to say there is room for improvement.
