Sometimes being yourself is scary enough

First of all we want to thank our awesome friends here in Ohio who prevented us from being complete Halloween Humbugs. The Christensen's and Richard's had an awesome Halloween Party. We were treated with crispy claws, delicious chili and amazing "witch's brew" at the Christensens. We also carved pumpkins. We named ours Jaque the Evil Jack. He has his own theme song and everything. We then hit the Richards where our mouths were properly measured for the doughnut eating competition...with some very yummy homemade pumpkin doughnuts. I sadly did not win first place in the Woman's division. That title when to Candace, but Rocky did take first in the Mens. We are so happy to have such fun friends.

Apparently I had a hard time looking at the camera.

Jaque the Evil Jack is on the far right...yes, he has a flavor savor.

Go ROCK!

Crispy Claws...rawwrr

Our neighborhood celebrated Halloween on Thursday. I was so excited, our first real trick or treators in our new house. We had a huge bowl of candy, porch light on, pumpkins lit and then we waited.....nothing. We had a total of about 6 trick or treators. Our first and favorites were the Christensen's (thank you so much for coming!). They didn't take much candy and so we now have a HUGE bowl of candy, just in time for the nephews. :)

Our first Trick or Treators!

Hot Air balloons magically showed up in our neighborhood and their owners were giving out Candy. This could be why we didn't get many visitors. Next year I'm getting a hot air balloon in my yard.

All in all Rocky and I were Halloween bums. We didn't dress up, we didn't watch anything scary, we were just ourselves and as the title says...that is sometimes scary enough.

I don't know how excited I am that there will be lots of candy for the boyos. Get rid of anything gummy or suckers. We spent way too much at the dentist the other day. We were bums for Halloween too. Maybe next year we will get into it.
